Stephan, I'm not sure what the problem you are seeing is?

Don't get confused by the xend log printing "ERROR"

If you want, just go into your /etc/xen/scripts dir and
remove the set -x from the script, and reboot (if you can).
This will stop the verbose debug logging (it's very useful
to us in debugging issues, and we would rather it be
the default in general for a little while longer, at
least).

Can you show us ifconfig -a output before and after?

Yes, the system has two network cards. I'm working with eth0. eth1 is
not configured at the moment. Later i will try with bonding.
