Unable to boot dom0 - Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(2,0)

I am unable to boot dom0 on any on my machines today, using changeset
8729. This is happening in both x86 and x86_64, SLES 9 and FC4 based
platforms. I will pull latest source and rebuild just in case it has
already been fixed.

I don't see any obvious looking block device being found. What disk
hardware are you using? Is the new default config enabling its driver?

The new default config is probably not enabling the drivers. There are
several types of machines, and the old default configs had the drivers
enabled. A couple of machines have LSI53C1030 devices. Can you set the
default configs the way they were before?

What is missing on the new configs that is common in all my IBM test
machines is the Fusion MPT device support:

Can you add it to the default configs? It is a feature common to IBM
xSeries hardware.
